Stadium Rules Revised
Certain problems that arose
during last weekend's Clemson
game have prompted the stadium
supervisors to make the following
announcements regarding Saturday's
contest with the Duke Blue
Devils:
(1) The weekly jam-ups at the
student gates will be alleviated if
students and their dates will divide
themselves between the two gates
on the northern side of the
stadium, one on the east and one
on the west. The main student gate
is located on the eastern extreme
on what has always been considered
the visitor's side of the field. It has
four turnstiles and caters to the
student body and their dates
exclusively.
(2) Aisle 7 on the eastern side of
the stadium will be closed to all
student traffic.
(3) This weekend particularly,
cans, bottles, and containers of any
description will not be allowed
inside Scott Stadium. Great vigilance
will be used to enforce this
regulation.
A note on the two up and
coming away games: tickets for
William and Mary and VMI may
still be purchased at U. Hall, but
only until 5 p.m. Tuesday. The
University has been allowed only
3,000 tickets for each of these
games. The Tobacco Bowl contest
with VMI in Richmond has practically
sold out due to the local
interest, so after Tuesday the
tickets, if they are available, must
be purchased at the gate.
