Captain Heads Huddle Tonight
Mal MacGregor is captain of
two teams at the University. One
is the team you see in Scott
Stadium on Saturdays; the other
works in relative anonymity, but
to MacGregor and those of his
team-mates who are members, its
work is just as important.
This team is the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes and they are
starting their second season of
weekly "huddles" tonight at 9:00
at the Wesley foundation.
Open to anyone with an interest
in sports, the fellowship is a nonsectarian
group "organized to confront
athletes and coaches, and
through them, the youth of the
nation with the challenge and adventure
of following Christ."
MacGregor and Bob Scrino
organized the group last year with
the hope of using athletics as a
common denominator to bring
men together in an informal discussion
of the Christian way of life,
from which the huddle idea was
derived.
