JVs Topple
IM All-Stars

Proving that an organized
team with coaching can beat a
pickup team, the JV Basketball
team outlasted the Intramural
All-stars for a 75-60 win in the
preliminary to the varsity game
Saturday night.

Behind during much of the
game, the Jay Vees went into a
stall late in the game that
allowed them to capitalize on
openings under the basket and
steadily convert a small lead
into a respectable 15 point
margin.

Looking like a howitzer,
freshman Joe Schaeffer put the
JV in the lead with a 10 for 14
shooting performance, most of
which consisted of second half
shots from the 20 foot area
and beyond.

Ned Tiley hauled down 15
rebounds for the game to give
the JVs the edge in
rebounding.

Keith Sudduth, an
ex-first-year player, led the
All-stars with 15 points.
