Trojans Hold First;
Sooners To Eighth

Charred by a 20-14 upset at
the hands of Colorado last
weekend, Oklahoma moved
from second to eighth place
this week, for the biggest
development in the UPI Top
Twenty listings in several
weeks.

Southern Cal, by virtue of
Oklahoma's loss, further
entrenched its hold on first
place, garnering 32 first place
votes to Alabama's two and
fourth-place Nebraska's one.
Sandwiched in third place
between the Tide and the
Cornhuskers is perennial
top-fiver Ohio State.

Rounding out the top ten are
Michigan, LSU, Colorado,
Oklahoma, UCLA and Penn
State. All are once-beaten.
except for the Wolverines and
Bayou Tigers, who have yet to
lose.
