Fifteen men have been
considered for the vacant post of
Atlantic Coast Conference
commissioner and one is expected
to be selected by next week.

The committee of four,
including ex-officio member R. R.
Ritchie of Clemson, the league
president, is responsible for
recommending a replacement for
Jim Weaver. Ritchie said Monday
the group hopes to have its
nominee to present to the
conference at its fall meeting at
Greensboro, N.C.

Three days of preliminary
closed sessions precede the meeting
on Dec. 11.
