The fabulous foreseers again
appear in Friday's issue with more
pretentious picks for rabid readers.
This week's slates features several
toss-ups and an occasional romp,
but at any rate, a few contests of
import.

Sports Information Director
Barney Cooke (7-3) is picking
Alabama to trip Ole Miss for the
second straight year even though
the rest of the experts say "NO."
Hugh Antrim (8-2) picks an upset
of Georgia Tech by Clemson of the
ACC. Nine of ten say that Duke's
Leo Hart will win the Cavalier
Daily's Marie Antoinette Award if
he comes out of the Ohio State
game alive but Davis Marshall (7-3)
wants Leo and 20 points (!).

What Are Barney And Davis Doing?

Cooke and Marshall, out to
destroy their records, are taking
Virginia Tech over South Carolina
at Columbia, while Antrim and Bill
Nachman, sporting a dismal 6-4
record, chose Kansas State to whip
Colorado who is coming off a rout
of Penn State. Randy Wert (8-2)
and Nachman see future Wahoo
rival Colgate over the Elis of Yale in
the Yale Bowl.

UNC Unanimous

North Carolina is a unanimous
pick to knock off Vanderbilt at
Nashville while in Knoxville,
Tennessee is a 10-0 choice to romp
over Army with Winston Wood,
sending his picks by carrier pigeon
from Fort San Antonio: wearing
GO UT buttons.

No Even Choices

There are no even choices this
week, but Southern Mississippi is a
6-4 nod over Richmond.
