IM Roundup

Five Teams 4-0

Zete and SAE continue to sit
atop Division A, and ATO and Pi
Kap occupy the top slot in Division
C as High Point Football moved
into its third week of action
Tuesday afternoon.

Both Zete and SAE kept their
win streaks alive with the big game
being Zete's conquest of previously
undefeated Sigma Chi, 7-0. Jim
Potter plunged over with the
winning touchdown on a pass from
all-IM quarterback, Charlie Ruleman.

At the same time, SAE was
having a much easier day of it,
rolling over PEP, 34-6. Mark Krebs
and Bob Snoddy scored two touchdowns
apiece for SAE.

In Division C play, ATO, led by
Mike Ranney, scored early and beat
Sigma Nu, 19-0. Pi Kap, keeping
pace with ATO, dumped Chi Phi,
25-12.

The only other unbeaten squad,
ZBT, moved its record to 3-0, with
a 44-31 win over St. Elmo. Tom
Joyce's two touchdowns notched
ZBT on top in Division D.

AEPi and Phi Psi created a three
way tie in Division B, as St. A.
upset Beta, the leader a week ago.
AEPi romped over Delta Sig, 25-6,
and Phi Psi clobbered SAM, 34-6.

Beta quarterback John Winter
spent a long day in his backfield, as
St.A. upset the division leaders,
24-13. Chris Moore scored three
times for the winners.

In other Division A activity,
Scott Stevens scored twice to lead
the Phi Delts to a 40-6 romp over
KA, and Phi Sig won its first game
over winless Pi Lam, 7-0.

Sigma Chi moved the ball well,
but was stopped at crucial points
by the Zete defense, one time on
the Zete three yard line.

Sigma Phi moved into second
place in Division D with a 14-13
squeaker over previously unbeaten
Theta Delt PiKA, with Pete Sanders
scoring twice, won its first
game in over time, nipping DKE
33-32.

In the remaining contests, Phi
Gam, last year's losing finalists,
romped over Chi Psi, 24-6, for its
second win. SPE, with Al Mirmelstein
scoring twice, won its first
contest, a 31-19 win over Theta
Chi.
