Ruggers, Swimmers Organizing
The Rugby Club, the only
University team to receive national
recognition, has been, and will
continue to hold its practice
sessions on the Carr's Hill Field.
Scheduled to battle Richmond next
weekend, the Rugby Club urges
anyone interested in the sport to
come out to practice, held each
afternoon at 4 pm.
Boasting the return of last year's
stalwart Courtney Hoopes, the
Ruggers are looking forward to
another successful season.
Hopefully, Nameless Field will
again be the site of the Rugby
matches.
All those upperclassmen who
want to transform themselves into
Mermen are requested to attend a
squad meeting that will be held at 7
pm. next Tuesday evening,
September 24. Those first-year men
interested are urged to meet with
Coach Law at 8 the same night.
The swimming pool in Memorial
Gym has been improved. With a
new filter system and paint job the
pool will be a better, if not
adequate, sports facility.
