Cagers To Host Italians

An Italian national
championship basketball team will
play an exhibition game against the
Cavaliers in University Hall next
Wednesday, the athletic department
has announced.

Splugen Gorizia, champions of
their age group in Italy, will oppose
the Cavaliers in a warmup for the
regular season opener on Dec. 1.

The game has come about as a
result of the clinics which Cavalier
coach Bill Gibson has conducted in
Europe on several occasions.

The team, which has no one
over 6-6, will play exhibitions
before four National Basketball
Association games during its tour of
the United States.

Because of the cost involved in
having the Italians come to the
University, there is a charge of one
dollar for adult admission, and 50
cents for students for the 8 p.m.
contest.
