The announcement by the
American Broadcasting Company
that the North Carolina State-North
Carolina football game of September
19 would be in the 1970
NCAA televised football package
gives the Wolfpack its fifth appearance
on national or regional
television since 1967..."This adds
up to quite a bit of revenue we have
contributed to the Atlantic Coast
Conference and the other seven
league members by being selected
to play on the weekly televised
series," says Wolfpack athletics
director Willis Casey.

Annapolis, Md. - Navy's 6-4
win over the always-powerful
Mount Washington Lacrosse Club
was the Midshipmen's second
straight over the Wolfpack. A year
ago, the Mids pounded the Mounts
15-4. The back-to-back victories are
the first consecutive ones Navy has
recorded in games with the Wolfpack
since 1922-23.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Charlie
Scott, one of the great athletes in
University of North Carolina history,
kept alive a Tar Heel tradition
last Saturday when he was named
"Star of Stars" in the East-West
Basketball Game at Indianapolis.

By sweeping that honor, Scott
ended his college career in exactly
the same fashion as three of the
school's all-time football greats,
Charlie (Choo Choo) Justice, Ken
Willard and Danny Talbott.

Don Easterling, who built the
University of Texas at Arlington

effective September 1, said Casey,

past 22 years head swimming
coach.
