University Hires Quayle
For Public Relations Work
Former grid standout Frank
Quayle, now a halfback for the
Denver Broncos, has recently been
added to the Public relations staff
of the University's Athletic Department.
Having reported for work only
yesterday, Quayle said that his
main job would be to visit with
students and alumni to tell "the
Virginia Story" in an effort to
boost support in all athletic matters,
though primarily concerned
only with football and basketball.
Among the former tailback's
plans are a well directed poster
campaign, visits with alumni clubs,
dormitories and fraternity houses,
and the production of a short
movie of 1969 highlights.
Athletic Director Steve Sebo
said in describing his most recent
appointment. "Frank is full of
imagination and drive. He is now
channeling it in our direction and
we hope he will be able both to
increase ticket sales and student
enthusiasm."
