Four Teams Seek Crown

A grand total of 30 points was
amassed between the eight teams
that competed in Wednesday's
round of eliminations. Someone
either has been peeking into Tom
Laundry's scrapbook, or is actively
seeking Otto's job in Washington.

Phi Kap managed to outscore
ZBT, 7-6, in overtime to advance to
the semis. Bob Shankman scored
for ZBT, and George Riddick got
six of the seven for Phi Kap. Most
overtime games are decided on
yards gained in the extra period;
this game was decided on minus
yardage.

Zete remained undefeated,
clipping St.A., 2-0, in quite a
defensive struggle. Dave Hudson
caught Bill Tyler in the end zone to
account for the game's only score.

Phi Gam, also undefeated,
blanked SPE, 8-0, in another
hard-fought contest. Bill Buck
scored the lone touchdown, with
the other two points coming when
SPE quarterback Brad Armstrong's
pass from the end zone fell
incomplete.

Mike Rainey was good for both
the touchdown and the extra point
as he led ATO into the semi-finals
on a 7-0 shutout of Phi Delt.

Volleyball Results

League A

Phi Delt defeated Sigma Phi,
15-4, 15-6. Phi Kap beat Kappa
Sigma, 15-6, 15-13. DU over Chi
Psi, 15-7, 15-10. PiKap slipped past
Phi Gam, 15-12, 15-10.

League B

Theta Delt beat AePi, 15-13,
15-13. SAM edged SNu, 15-13,
6-15, and 15-13. Chi Phi defeated
St.A., 15-9, 7-15, and 15-10. PEP
overcame DKE, 15-10, 13-15, and
15-0.

League C

Beta defeated SAE, 16-14,
15-13. PiLam trounced TKE, 15-4,
15-4. Zete upended Theta Chi,
15-12, 10-15, and 15-7. Phi Psi
slipped by Delta Sig, 15-12, 12-15,
and 15-8.

League D

Sigma Pi overcame KA, 15-10,
15-7. ZBT defeated Phi Sig, 15-6,
15-9. PiKA downed SPE, 13-15,
15-4, and 15-7. ATO beat St. Elmo,
15-9, 15-5.
