Several Teams Still Undefeated

By Sandy Prater

Tom Jefferson came back from
the grave to haunt Chi Psi, and
lead Theta Chi to a 26-0 victory.
"Mr." Jefferson scored three TDs
and one extra point as Theta Chi
racked up its fourth straight victory
against no losses.

Also remaining undefeated after
four games is Pi Kap, last year's
High Point League football runnerup.
Mike Chewning, a stalwart
performer all season, registered
two tallies as he guided Pi Kap
to a 34-18 win over AEPi.

Zete won its fourth straight with
an impressive 37-12 victory over
Sigma Chi. Jim Potter at quarterback
provided the scoring punch
for Zete as he ran for two TDs
and threw for another two.

SPE, recovering from an early
season upset loss, smothered ZBT,
33-6. Jack Piper, with two TDs,
was instrumental in the SPE victory.
SAE finally got its offense
going, with David Broyles quarterbacking
the team to a 32-0
victory over TKE.

Phi Psi encountered little difficulty
with Theta Delt and won
convincingly, 27-0 behind Terry
Godwin's two TD's. In a real
offensive battle, Phi Delt was outscored
by DU, 32-19.

One touchdown proved sufficient
for victory in two games.
Bob Barry's TD was the winning
margin for Sigma Phi as they defeated
St. Elmo, 7-0, and Stan.
Owens' tally won the game for
PiKA as it squeaked by PEP,
6-0.

In a game that ended in a 6-6
tie score, St. A was declared the
victor over Phi Gam by virtue
of having gained the most yardage
in the overtime period. In a real
defensive struggle which saw eight
interceptions, Tommy Purcell was
outstanding for St. A.
