Polo Club Opens
Against Farmington

The University Polo team will
open its fall season against
Farmington this Sunday in what
should be a close contest. The seven
goal Farmington team, composed
of Doug Nichols (1 goal), Roger
Rinehart (2 goals), and Harry
Wilson (4 goals), will be one of
Virginia's toughest competitors.

Playing for the Cavaliers this fall
will be Reid Graham of Darien,
Conn. in the number one position,
captain John Stuart of Boyce, Va.
as number two, and a number of
prospects who are competing for
the third position. Among these are
Mark Pirrung and Roger Steele who
played in last year's spring games,
and newcomers Peter Henderson
and Tim Wooden, and other
first-year and returning members.

The Cavaliers were second last
year in the inter-collegiates. They
were defeated by Yale in a sudden
death playoff.

Once again the Polo Team will
have their Sunday games at the
Farmington Hunt Club which is
located four miles out Garth Road.
Admission will be charged to help
pay for the use of the Farmington
Hunt Club and for new equipment,
feed, and other expenses. Season
ring side parking spaces can also be
purchased from the Polo Club.

Game time is 2:30 pm.
