Pigskin Pickers has swelled from 
seven to eight and the prospects of 
a highly competitive race for record 
are enhanced by the return of four 
past performers including Sports 
Information Director Barney 
Cooke, Davis Marshall, Winston 
Wood by remote control, and Hugh 
Antrim.

Florida. Only Georgia-Clemson is 
rated a toss-up.
Three contests got the 
unanimous nod from these 
discriminating journalists. The 
University of North Carolina is an 
8-0 choice over Maryland as is 
South Carolina over North Carolina 
State, and the Irish of Notre Dame 
over Purdue.
With only Bill Nachman 
dissenting, Ole Miss was installed as 
the favorite over Kentucky, Ernest 
Dempsey chose Memphis State to 
trip Virginia Tech while everyone
