Polomen Host
Elis For Easters

For its Easters Weekend polo
match the University of Virginia
team will host Intercollegiate
Champions Yale at the Farmington
Hunt Club Arena at 2:30 Sunday.

The University team, having lost
a scrimmage match last Sunday
against a strong Charlottesville
team, is looking for a hard-riding
game against the Yale Team.

Riding for the University club
will be Captain Rob Rinehart rated
at one goal indoors, David Banks
rated at zero, and John Stuart rated
zero.

The Champion Yale team will
consist of Jim Brand, a one goal
player, Bill Brown also one goal,
and Allan Harris at two goals,
indoors.

The Yale team will arrive in
Charlottesville after a successful
winter season at the Intercollegiates. Brandi's Els walked
over the Cornell Club in the
finals at the Oxridge Arena in
Darien Connecticut scoring 22 goals
to Cornell's 10.

The University of Virginia suffered
a humiliating loss at the hands
of the University of Connecticut
club in the quarterfinals. The game
was lost in the last half when
UConn scored five goals in the third
chukkar to change a 5-6 half time
score to a final 12-8. Some of the
Virginia men felt that their third
chukkar pones were a major factor
in the sudden change of lead.

The University will host the

UConn team in early May and hope
to redeem this frustrating defeat.

The University players are expecting
a tough fight next Sunday
against the four goal Elis, and are
looking to the home team advantage
to pull them into the lead.

The game will be played at the
club's new location out Garth Road
where the University is sharing the
Farmington Polo. Club's facilities.
The first ball will be thrown out at
2:30 to start the spring season.

Future matches have been
scheduled with the University of
Pennsylvania and Connecticut, the
Middleburg and Farmington Clubs
and Cornell.
