Highlights Gridiron Action

High Point football action has
become knotted as fraternity
competition moves into its final
stages of the '69 season.

Pi Kap leads Division C with an
undefeated record, but is closely
followed by an ATO team with
only one loss. ZBT likewise is
unbeaten, with Phi Kap and PiKA
tied for second with identical 5-2
standings. Both Division A and B
are tied up, as Zeta Psi, Sigma Chi,
and SAE all sport 6-1 slates in the
A group, and St. Anthony and Phi
Gam both are 6-2 in B Division
play.

This past Monday saw the
second to last day of regular IM
competition. In the A division, Zete
drubbed Sigma Pi 25-6, SAE came
back to edge upset minded Phi Delt
7-6, KA blasted Phi Sig 32-0, and
PEP beat Pi Lam 18-12.

In playoffs in the B Division, St.
A. downed Phi Psi 20-12, and Phi
Gam blank Beta 20-0. The Hall and
Phi Gam will meet this afternoon to
settle the B Division title. Other
consolation playoffs are scheduled
for Monday and Tuesday of next
week, with the final championship
games Wednesday and Thursday.

Pi Kap remained undefeated by
whipping SPE 19-12, ATO beat DU
28-6, celler dweller Kappa Sig
climbed into the day light by
downing Theta Chi 13-7, and Sigma
Nu nipped Chi Phi 15-7. In a game
that was replayed because of
protest, Sigma Nu shut out SPE
12-0.

In the D Division, ZBT rocked
Theta Delt 26-12, St. Elmo finally
got its offense going, and took
apart TKE 31-20, p lost to
PiKA 6-13, and DKE blanked
Sigma Phi 13-0.

High Point volleyball has gotten
under way and the divisions and
their standings are as follows:

Division A: Zete (2-0), Pi Kap
(2-0), Phi Gam (1-0), St. A. (1-1),
Theta Delt (1-1), Chi Psi (1-1), DU
(0-1), Kappa Sig (0-2), and Sigma
Nu (0-2).

Division B: Chi Phi (2-0), Theta
Chi (1-1-, PEP (1-1), Sigma Pi
(1-1), Pi Lam (0-2), SAM (0-2),
TKE (0-2).

Division C: ATO(2-0)'O (2-0),
ZBT (2-0), Beta (2-0), Phi Kap
(1-1), Sigma Chi (1-1), Pi Lam
(0-2), SAM (0-2), TKE (0-2).

Division D: PiKA (2-0), AEPi
(2-0), Phi Delt (1-1), DKE (1-1)
KA (1-1-, Sigma Phi (1-1).
