Malletmen Set
For Cornell

Only Cornell University can
keep the Virginia polo club from
concluding the spring season with
an unblemished record.

The Cavaliers stand 5-0
presently and face the Big Red trio
from Cornell Sunday afternoon in
the last home game to be played at
Brook Hill Farm. Cornell fields a
highly regarded team, playing in the
finals of the inter-collegiate
tournament this winter.

Bill Armstrong will ride number
one for the Big Red. Paul Wilson
and Danny Ladd, both rated at one
goal, will play in the number two
and three positions respectively.

Rob Rinchart (who scored three
goals against Meadowbrook), John
Cutler, Ray Norden, and Dave
Banks are all expected to see action
for the Virginians. A win over the
Big Red would toss the Cavaliers
way up in national recognition.
Rob Rinchart commented on the
task ahead Sunday, "We're going to
have to anticipate and hustle ...
play really alert polo."

Cornell has been the only team
to out-ride the Cavaliers at Brook
Hill Farm in the past two years.
One dollar is a mean sacrifice to
have to render to spectate the
reversal of this unwelcome
tradition. Referee Tommy Lavery
will commence the first chukkar at
2 PM.
