Hoopsters, Gymnasts
Post Weekend Losses

Facing a strong well-rounded
N.C. State basketball team, the
Cavaliers were stomped 91-63, Saturday
night in Raleigh.

For the first 12 minutes, the
Cavalier cagers played well and
kept the score close with a Wolf
Pack scoring spurt right before the
half making the tally 43-34 in
State's favor. During the second
half Eddie Biendenbach sparked
his team in scoring. The game
ended, however, with the Wolf
Pack having five men in double
figures.

Mike Katos was the high scorer
for the Cavaliers with 20 to lift
his career total to 1,064. Tony
Kinn followed with 16 points despite
first-half troubles.

In other athletic action Coach
Ehler's gymnastics team was again
unsuccessful in seeking a win as
it dropped two meets: to Georgia
Southern Friday night and to
powerful Furman Saturday night.
Nevertheless the gymnasts continued
to improve their performances
in losing 138-169 to
Georgia Southern, a team which
Coach Ehler regards as the best in
the South.
