IM Basketball Begins;
Dekes, Phi Delt Win

Three upsets and a series of
close games marked the first round
of competition for the high point
trophy in last Thursday's I.M.
basketball action at Memorial Gym.

Upsets occurred as the Dekes, led
by Tom Adams and Joe Ferens,
trounced SAE by a score of 51-33.
Kent Wunderlich was high point
man for SAE with 10 points.

The Zets were upset by Phi Delt,
36-32, and Phi Psi downed PiKA by
a 37-35 score. Scott Stephans led a
balanced Phi Delt attack with 10
points as Dick Reid pumped in 13
for Zete. In the Phi Psi-PiKA
match, Dick Fletcher had 14 points
for the winners while Bruce
Broecker led PiKA with 11. In
other games, George Wall led SPE
to a 56-25 shellacking of PEP with
14 points, Bob Fagin had 15 for the
losers.

Rich Rothenberg and Eric Rothfeld
scored 10 points apiece as ZBT
downed KA by a score of 38-34.
Jim Riley scored 11 points for KA.
Chi Psi's Tony orllo led his team
to a 40-23 win over Kappa Sig with
12 points.

Brian Kitchen and Steve Kennelly
each scored 14 points, and
Bill Buck scored 11 in Phi Gam's
55-29 trouncing of Beta. Windy Bill
had 14 points for Beta.

Larry Lipman and Steve
Brickman scored 13 and 12 points
respectively as AEPi defeated DU
by a score of 60-31. DU was led by
Windy Kidd, who had 17 points.

Chi Phi had little trouble with
TKE and Albie Rosenthall scored
14 points and Don Schinstine
scored 17 in that 45-34 win.

In Delta Sig's 46-27 win over
Theta Delt, Ken Magee scored 16
points for the winners. In still
another contest, SAM was beaten
by Phi Sig by a score of 55-26.

Action resumes at Memorial
Gym tonight with a full state of
games scheduled.
