Notes
In the Independent "A"
football championship game the
Hawks (undergraduates) defeated
the second year law team, the
Escobedos, 6-0. The only score of
the game came on a pass from Ben
Dowdy to Chris Kent. The victory
gave the Hawks a perfect 7-0
record, while the Escobedos final
mark stood at 6-1.
Facing some tough picks this
past week, the prognosticators in
general bit the dust. Ted McKean
managed the best record at 8-4. Our
systematic seer, Bill Reese, could
do no better than a 7-5 mark.
Excuses rest on the surprising
upsets of Duke over Georgia Tech,
Mississippi over LSU, and
Vanderbilt over Tulane, which all
caught the pickers fat-footed.
