the High Point basketball season
got under way this past week.

last Thursday's action. The
results of Tuesday, February 13,
appear below:

St. A 68-Phi Sig 21
Phi Gam 48-Pi Kap 27

PIKA 51-Beta 32
SAE 55-ZBT 37
Chi Phi 42-Theta Chi 18
TKE 63-Kappa Sig 26

Paced by Dickie Reid's 16
points, Zete used twelve players
en route to its six point victory
over Phi Delt. Missing fifteen
foul shots did not help the Phi
Delt cause. They were led by
Bruce Cowgill's 15 points. With
Sam Harvey scoring 22 points,
SAE overpowered ZBT, whose
Geoff Gordon hit for 14 markers.
PIKA jumped to a twenty point
halftime lead and then coasted
the rest of the way against Beta.
Jeff Crackel and Bruce Broecker
ripped the nets for thirteen and
twelve points respectively for
PIKA. With the help of their 6821
triumph over Phi Sig, St. A's
winning margin has averaged 37
points per game after two contests.
