Oratorio Society Slated

The Oratorio Society of
Charlottesville-Albemarle,
under the direction of Donald
G. Loach, will present a
program of two works, Bach's
Cantata No. 21, and Samuel
Barber's Prayers of
Kierkegaard,
on Sunday, March
4, at Cabell Hall auditorium at
p.m.

Three outstanding soloists
will perform with the choral
group; Charlene Peterson,
soprano, Blake Stern, professor
of music at Yale, tenor; and
Oscar McCullough, associate
professor of music at Hollins
College, baritone. Twenty
instrumental musicians from
The Juilliard School in New
York will join the community
orchestra for the performance.

Tickets are available at
Timberlake's, Music Center
Hi-Fl House, and will be sold at
the door. Student tickets are
available only from members
of the chorus, or at Mincer's.
