This Week At the Prism

This weekend the Prism
Coffeehouse, located at 214
Rugby Road, will again be
offering a split bill of
entertainment, Dick Baker, a
fine ragtime guitarist from
Richmond, will be the featured
act. His material ranges from
the classical ragtime pieces of
Scott Joplin through songs of
the 20's and 30's. Negotiations
have not yet been completed as
far as Saturday night is
concerned, but the featured act
is likely to be either Ann
Stewart, a husky-voiced blues
singer from Fredericksburg
who has appeared regularly at
the Prism, or Armin and
Connie Barnett, members o
the Yellow Mountain String
Band who will play a night
devoted to Irish folk tunes on
the banjo, fiddle, accordion,
and penny whistle. Please check
the posters which will be up
later this week.

Kathy's Clothes, a store
filled with used and unusual
clothes at bargain prices, is also
located in the Prism. There will
be no poetry readings this
week. Doors open Friday and
Saturday nights at 8:30, show
starts around 9:30. Coffee,
cider, soft drinks, and
doughnuts are available.
Admission is 75 cents.
