Girl's Death
Fund Started
A fund to help pay the hospital costs of a
twenty year old girl who died of a chronic
neurological disease has been established by
some students in the School of Nursing.
The girl's disease required long and intensive
hospitalization, and she has spent over four
years in hospitals, including two at the
University Hospital.
While at the Hospital here, she required the
use of a respirator, which costs a great deal; the
total bill came to about $50,000, of which the
Hospital took off all but $21,000.
The girl's parents will have an extremely
difficult time paying the bill, and unless money
is raised they will be forced to sell their house.
Persons wishing to contribute can contact
Bridgett Breen or Mary Jean Harrold.
