Seven Society
Memorializes
Vietnam Dead

The Seven Society will
place a memorial plaque
honoring 28 University
graduates who died in the
Vietnam war, University
President Edgar F. Shannon
announced during Founder's
Day exercises Friday.
Tremendous Sacrifice
The Seven Society letter
said that "despite the varied
personal feelings held about
the war and its purposes and
accomplishments, the Seven
Society feels, nonetheless, that
we must recognize the
tremendous sacrifice made by
those who served and suffered
in an exceedingly dangerous
and difficult situation."
Killed In War
The following University
students were listed by the
Seven Society as killed in the
war:
Richard D. Bahr, John D.
Bass, Roger G. Bove, Joseph B.
Bowman, Richard T. Carter,
Gerald L. Caton, George N.
Deverall, Peter P. Domiano,
