Jay To Present 'World Of Skiing'
John Jay, a noted ski
enthusiast, will present his new
90 minute feature film, "The
World of Skiing," tomorrow, at
8:30 p.m. in the Buford Junior
High School auditorium on
Cherry Avenue.
Mr. Jay is showing the film
to benefit the Bloomfield
Home for Handicapped
Children. Admission is
$3–general admission and $5
for reserved seats. Tickets may
be purchased in advance at
Cary's Camera Shop, The
University Sports Shop, and
the Downtown Athletic Store.
Speech Broadcast
WTJU, at 91.3 FM, will
rebroadcast a tape of the
speech of American Party
Vice-Presidential candidate
Thomas Jefferson Anderson at
7 p.m. tonight. Mr. Anderson
spoke to the University
community last night in Gilmer
Hall Auditorium.
Also tonight, WTJU will
broadcast the speech of former
Congressman, D-N.Y., Allard
K. Lowenstein, "live" from
Cabell Hall Auditorium, at
8:30 p.m.
Depression Analysis
History Prof. John A.
Garraty of Columbia
University will present a
comparative analysis of
American and German
response to the Great
Depression tomorrow at 8:30
p.m. in Jefferson Hall.
Mr. Garraty is the author of
"The New Commonwealth"
and "The Nature of
Biography".
UUS Book Exchange
The Union of University
Students (UUS) will hold a
meeting tomorrow at 8 p.m. in
room 4B of Newcomb Hall to
discuss plans for the UUS Book
Exchange, the Gazette and any
new projects.
