Hester Davis

Hester A. Davis, State Archaeologist
of the Arkansas Archaeological Survey,
will present an illustrated lecture entitled
"Arkansas — Cross Roads of the Past" in
the South Meeting Room, Newcomb Hall
at 8:15 p.m. tomorrow.

The lecture will deal with Indian sites,
current excavations, and the need for
conservation and preservation of
"non-renewable" resources.

Acting as the State Archaeologist of the
Arkansas Archaeological Survey since 1967,
and Assistant Professor in the Department of
Anthropology at the University of Arkansas,
Miss Davis is a former Assistant Director of the
University of Arkansas Museum.

of America, Miss Davis will speak before the
members of the local chapter, and any
interested guests are welcome.
