Chicago Dean
To Speak Here

Sidney Davidson, dean of the Graduate
School of Business at the
University of Chicago, will speak at
the University's McIntire School of Commerce
tomorrow.

Addressing the commerce school's
fifth Accounting Forum, Davidson will
discuss the work of the National Accounting
Principles Board, the group which
sets standards and prescribes procedures
to be followed in the accounting profession.

In addition to holding membership on the
board, Mr. Davidson is Arthur Young Professor
of Accounting at the University of Chicago and
author of more than 30 articles on accounting,
finance and taxation. He is past president of the
American Accounting Association.

Some 35 certified public accountants from
Virginia and Washington firms, as well as
commerce faculty and student accounting majors
are expected to attend the meeting at 4:30
p.m. in room 202, Rouss Hall.

The forum was established in 1968 to bring
together faculty, students and leading accounting
practitioners to discuss current accounting
issues.
