Dickens To Talk

"Luther and the German nation" will be the
subject of a lecture to be delivered by the
renowned Professor Arthur Geoffrey Dickens
at the MacGregor Room of the Alderman
Library at 8 tomorrow.

Mr. Dickens is director of the Institute of
Historical Research and professor of history in
the University of London, England.

Mr. Dickens, a well known authority on the
Reformation, has written widely on the subject.
Some of his more important books include
"Thomas Cromwell and the English
Reformation" (1959) and "Reformation and
Society in Sixteenth Century Europe."

On Friday, October 2, Mr. Dickens will
participate in a seminar on the English
Reformation of the Sixteenth Century at 3 in
room 235, James Wilson Hall.

The general public is invited to both of these
events.
