University of Virginia Library

Summer Pre-Registration

Pre-registration procedures for students
planning to study at the University during
the Summer Session have been released by
the Registrar.

Students currently enrolled for resident
study who expect to attend Summer Session
should file an INTENT TO REGISTER card
by May 6 so that registration materials can
be made available on May 11.

Pre-registration for summer sessions will
be held in the Summer Session office in
Garrett Hall beginning Monday, May 11,
and continuing through Friday, May 22,
from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 p.m. to 3:30
p.m. daily except Saturday.

During the pre-registration period,
students will pick up their registration
packets and Schedule of Classes Directory
from the Summer Session office, and take
the schedule card to their Dean's office for
approval of summer courses or registration.

Students in the Graduate School of Arts
and Sciences are asked to report to the
Dean's Office, 438 Cabell, during the first
week only, May 11 through May 15, for
approval of courses.

Graduate students planning to work on
theses dissertations only must register and
have the schedule card approved at their
Dean's office. All August degree applicants
must be registered in the summer session
regardless of whether they will be taking
any courses, and such persons are urged to
complete their registration prior to May 22.

Copies of the Summer session catalogue
and the Schedule of Classes Directory, as
well as additional information, will be
available at the Summer Session office.
