Ed-School Election Fills
New Graduate Council Seats

An election to choose a representative
from the School of Education to the
newly-established Graduate School
Council will take place on February 26, it
was announced yesterday by Denise
O'Brien, President of the Education
School.

The new council was formed last
December in a constitutional overhaul of
the Graduate Student Government.

A total of 29 representatives are to be
elected by more than 20 departments, with
apportionment based on the number of
graduate students enrolled in a given department.

Miss O'Brien outlined the requirements for
those interested in seeking the seat from the
Education School:

A candidate must submit his name, department,
degree and intended graduation date
together with a support petition of 25
signatures of registered full-time graduate
students in the School of Education. The
petitions should be submitted to Miss O'Brien
or to the secretary of the Student Government.
Fourth Floor, Newcomb Hall, on or before
February 24

Eligibility to hold office is determined by
several factors. A candidate must be a graduate
student registered full-time in the Education
School, must be in good academic standing and
must intent to maintain such status throughout
the term of office.

Any full-time student registered in the
School of Education may vote in the February
26 elections.

following places: Room 109, Cabell Hall; First
