Authorities Nab Narcotics Agent Deavers,
Acting Upon U.Va. Student Tip Off

Well-know state narcotics
undercover agent Cart S.
Deavers was apprehended at an
Appomattox motel room
yesterday and charged with
possession and use of illicit and
dangerous drugs.
He was released by
Appomattox County Circuit
Court Judge Phlem Snopes on
$50,000 property bond.
Two hundred pounds of
uncleaned Columbian
marijuana and over 30 ounces
of uncut Turkish hashish were
subsequently confiscated by
local authorities from the
trunk of Deavers' patrol car.
A police spokesman said
that the drugs had been
confiscated in raids during the
previous week in Alexandria
and that a report indicating
their disposal has been filed.
