Historian Speaks
On 'Cold War,'
Crisis In Cuba

An historian, an educator, and a
pollution-control engineer will speak on
the grounds today.

Dexter Perkins, former president of
the American Historical Association and
professor of history at Cornell and
Rochester Universities, will speak on
"The Cold War: The Marshall Plan" at 4
p.m. today in the South Meeting Room
of Newcomb Hall.

"The Cuban Confrontation" will be the
topic of a second lecture by Mr. Perkins
tomorrow at 4 p.m. in the South Meeting
Room.

Carla Eugster, Director of the Nethers
Community Free School in Woodville, Virginia,
will lecture on "The Anatomy of a Free
School" tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the South
Meeting Room of Newcomb Hall.

She is presently directing the Future Village
Project, an experimental community for
inner-city poor designed to "break the link
between work and income."

"Air Pollution Control for the Utility
Industry" will be the topic of a lecture by
Roger M. Hogg, air pollution control engineer
for Babcock and Wilcox Company in
Lynchburg, Virginia. Mr. Hogg will speak today
at 1 p.m. in the aero-mechanical building of the
School of Engineering and Applied Science.
