Law School Schedules Libel Show

By Parkes Brittain
Cavalier Daily Staff Writer

The annual Libel Show sponsored by
students in the Law School will play for
two nights this year due to popular
demand.

The production is entitled "Heir
Today, Gone Tomorrow." It is said to be
a loose adaptation of "Macbeth." The
show is scheduled for April 23-24 at 8:30
in Cabell Hall Auditorium.

The all-star cast of law students is led
by writer and sometime director of the
production, Herbie Gazortz. Kit Sumner
commands a lead role as (Charlie) MacBread, a
domestic husband and usurper to the throne of
Scotland.

Mr. Sumner says he hopes that after three
years Arthur Horwitz will develop a new
routine in his portrayal of Dean Monrad
Paulsen in the role of MacBread, the hairy old
Viking from the North.

Mary Yancey Spenser will assume the role of
Lady Virginia (Haigh) MacBread, who is
especially lethal with her anti-venom weapon.
In the fourth lead role, Molly Powell will
portray Queen Francis (Farmer) of Scotland
who is murdered by MacBread in his bid for the
throne.

Tickets are on sale in Mural Hall in the Law
School. Seats in the orchestra section are four
dollars; other seats cost $2.75. Tickets for the
Saturday showing are almost sold out.
