Speakers Add
To Culture Week

Ten speakers, from federal and state
officials to poets and psychiatrists, will be
at the University next week, February
14-20, as participants in Black Culture
Week, sponsored by Black Students for
Freedom.

"The week is designed to increase
awareness of black people and black life
and to probe into the questions of
culture, creativity and what it means to
be a community," says Joseph R.
Washington Jr., professor of religious
studies and director of the Afro-American
studies program in the College.

Highlighting the week of speakers will
be Julian Bond, member of the Georgia
