Returning Roommate Finds
Body Of Graduate Student

Stephen William Myers, a second year
graduate business student at the University,
was found dead Monday evening at
his cottage by a roommate returning from
Christmas vacation.

The body of Mr. Myers, 24, of Plandome
Manor, New York, was discovered
in the bedroom of his cottage at Mountain
House Farm in Albemarle County
which he shared with fellow graduate
students.

According to the county sheriff's department,
Mr. Myers' body was found at 6 P.M.
Monday by one of his roommates. Police said
that he had come back from the holidays
Sunday, and that there was no evidence of foul
play.

A medical authority said it would probably
be tomorrow or Friday before exact cause of
death can be determined, although according to
a spokesman for the Albemarle County Sheriff's
Department, Mr. Myers had been dead
about 12 hours when his body was found.

E.D.David, Albemarle County medical examiner,
said the autopsy was to be performed
yesterday, but a ruling on cause of death
probably would not be made until the results of
chemical tests on fluids taken from the body
have been returned from a lab in Richmond.
