Trippe Lectures
On Education

Matt Trippe will be the first speaker in the
Special Education Lecture Series in the University
School of Education tonight at 7 p.m. in
the South Meeting Room in Newcomb Hall. His
topic will be "Educating Emotionally Disturbed
Children: Product or Process?" The presentation
is open to the community.

Trippe is a Professor in Education at the
University of Michigan. Presently, he is a
Training Associate in San Jose, California, for a
United States Office of Education Project
designed to reform teacher education. He is also
Chairman of the Michigan Fresh Air Camp.

His publications include "Stigma and
Schooling", "Educational Therapy", "Educational
Dimensions of Emotional Disturbance",
and "Play Therapy and Play Techniques with
Exceptional Children."

He is the Chairman of the National Defense
Education Act Institute for Advanced Study in
Teaching Disadvantaged Youth.
