Member Of Knessent
Gives Two Lectures
Israel's Six Day War will be
discussed in two lectures to be
delivered this weekend by Gabriel
Cohen, a member of Israel's
Knessent (Parliament).
Sponsored by the B'nai B'rith
Hillel Foundation, Mr. Cohen
will speak this evening at 8 p.m.
on "The Middle East and the
Great Powers After the Six Day
War." Sunday, April 7th at noon,
Mr. Cohen will lecture on the
"Israeli Parliamentary System."
Both lectures will be held at 1824
University Circle, the public is
invited to attend.
Mr. Cohen is the Director of
the Institute for Research in
Zionism and Professor of Medieval
and Modern Palestinian History.
His education has been built
around Israel's periodic defense
needs.
Elected to the Israel Knesset in
1965, his special activities were
in foreign affairs and education.
Mr. Cohen has published several
books and reviews on Modern
Palestinian History, and still
maintains his membership on the
faculty of the University of Tel-Aviv.
His lecture tour is under
the joint sponsoring of the Hillel
Foundation and the United Jewish
Appeal.
