International Club Gives 'Scandinavia'
One of a series of cultural International Club To Present Scandinavian Show
programs presented by the International
Club will be presented
Students' Wives Perform Folk Dance
Hall.
The show features films, songs,
a fashion show of costumes, and
various exhibits on the two Scandinavian
countries of Denmark
and Finland. All participants in
the show will be University students
and their wives, many of
whom are foreign exchange students
from these two countries.
These students and graduate
students will sing songs, tell
stories, model clothes from Denmark
and Finland, perform
Scandinavian folk dances, show
a movie on Danish art as well
as a reading of a story by Hans
Christian Andersen accompanied
by slides of illustrations of an
Andersen book.
This is the first such program
this year by the International
Club, but other shows have been
presented over the past several
years from India, the Philippines,
Greece, China, and Brazil.
The Scandinavian cultural program
is open to the public; admission
is free.
