University Party To Formulate
New Platform Topics Monday

Initial nomination of candidates
for college posts will be
made and platform ideas discussed
in the University Party's
meeting Monday night at 8 in
the Newcomb Hall South Meeting
Room.

The party was formed last
spring to "make student government
committed to progress and
accountable to students," stressing
individual participation in student
politics.

The University Party has
urged full co-education, placing
of student funds under the
Council's control, adoption of the
new Student Council constitution,
bus service from living areas,
and gym and library facilities
in the dormitory areas.

Five of the eleven platform issues
to which the University
party was committed last year
have been enacted and four more
have action pending.

All interested students are invited
to debate the above and
other issues at the meeting Monday
night.
