Theologian Views Ethics Tonight

One of the theologians in the
field of modern ethical situations
lectures today and tomorrow at
St. Paul's Memorial Church.

John C. Fletcher, assistant professor
of Church and Society at
the Virginia Theological Seminary,
will combine elements of
medical research and Christian
ethics in both lectures. "This is
something special and someone
special," states Mr. Waller, Rector
of St. Paul's.

This evening the lecture will
be aimed primarily at medical
personnel and staff. Beginning at
8., Mr. Fletcher will discuss
"Human Experimentation: Ethics
in the Consent Situation."

Tomorrow Mr. Fletcher will
speak at a luncheon at 1 p.m.
This talk will concentrate on
problems and future discoveries
which cover a wide range of concern.
The general public is invited
to hear "Ethical Issues in
Medical Science Today."

Both lectures will be in the
Parish Hall of St. Paul's Memorial
Church, located at the corner
of Chancellor St. and University
Ave. Tonight the discussion
is free; there will be a $1 charge
for the luncheon.
