Win Elections

Bill McManus and James Page were elected
Vice-President and Treasurer of the Class of
1970 in the special election that ended
yesterday afternoon.

Mr. McManus received 89 votes to lead a
field of four candidates: Barry Graham, who
received 72 votes; Lou Paulson who received
63 votes; an Leslie Diamond, with 25 votes.

Mr. Page likewise beat out three other men,
receiving 88 votes. Edgar L. Parrish finished
second with 64 votes, Dick Reid was third with
62 votes, and W. Lewis Brown was fourth, with
59 votes.

There were 283 ballots cast in the
election, it was reported, and 248 signatures on
the sign-up sheets.

'The election was necessitated because Brad
Armstrong, who was elected Vice-President
last year, did not return t school. The
Treasurer election was run over because several
of the candidates' names were left off the
ballots last year.
