Alderman Road
Mixer Planned

A mixer this Thursday, scheduled to begin
at 8 p.m. in the Glass Hat, will initiate this
year's expanded social program of the Alderman
Road Legislative Council.

Girls from Mary Munford and McKim
dormitories are to be the guests of honor at the
mixer and The Wide Load is scheduled to
provide musical entertainment.

During the opening weeks of this session,
the Alderman Road Legislative Council got off
to an early start in working toward its
announced goal of improving living conditions
in the Alderman Road upperclass residential
complex.

Elections were held September 10 with each
floor electing two representatives to the
dormitory area's governmental body. On
September 15 the council's first meeting was
held. Currently the Council is working through
all avenues to secure the legal possession of ice
chests, refrigerators, and cooking and eating
appliances in the dormitories.

The achievement last year of governmental
system for the upperclass dormitories, which
according to Rick Lunghofer "proved to be a
full success." Accomplishments included the
establishment of parietal hours according to the
decision of each suite of the dormitories.

The Judicial Council elections were held at
the same time as the legislative Council's, with
each floor electing one representative. Orientation
of the new members is currently
underway. PLANS ARE NOW BEING FORM
the institution of a similar system of government
for the first year dormitories, which is
expected to be initiated December 1.
