Easter Services Held
By Local Churches

Local churches are offering an
interesting variety of religious
services for the Easter Weekend.
The schedule of services for five
Charlottesville churches is as follows:

The University Baptist Church
—A Good Friday Service will begin
at 1 p.m. today. On Sunday,
there will be the regular morning
service at 11 a.m. and an
Easter vesper service at 5 p.m.
with special music. The University
Baptist Church is located at
1223 West Main Street.

The Catholic Center of The
University (St. Thomas Hall)

Today there will be a Good Friday
service at 5 p.m. On Holy
Saturday an Easter Visual Service
will be held. Easter Sunday
services will be held at regular
service hours, 9, 10:30, 12 noon,
and at 5:15 in the evening.

St. Paul's Memorial Church
This afternoon at 12:30 and 1:30
there will be two "Meditations
on The Cross." At 8 p.m. today
the St. Paul's choir will perform
the "Faure Requiem." There will
be Holy Baptism at 6 p.m. on
Saturday and Easter Sunday services
will begin with Liturgy of
The Lord's Supper at 8 a.m., and
regular services will be held at
9:15 and 11 that morning.

Wesley Memorial Methodist
Church
—A service of Holy Communion
will be held at 7:30 this
evening. Easter Sunday services
will be held at 9 and 11.

Westminster Presbyterian
Church
—A service of the Office
of Tenebrae will be held at 8 this
evening with Assistant Minister
Robert B. Albritton conducting
the service. The Rev. George
Tellford will conduct the regular
Sunday services on Easter morning
at 9:30 and 11.
