Student Injured
In Auto Wreck
Early Saturday

Barton H. Ruetlinger, a third-year
student at the University,
suffered head and face lacerations
early Saturday morning
when the car which he was driving
ran off Rugby Avenue just
South of the U.S. 250 by-pass
and rolled down a 75 foot bank.

A motorist called police 2
a.m. Saturday and reported picking
up Mr. Ruetlinger on Rugby
Avenue and dropping him off
where he resides on Carr's Hill
Road.

Police drove him to University
Hospital, which reported him
in fair condition yesterday afternoon.

The car was discovered Saturday
afternoon by a young Rose
Hill Drive bicycle rider, Peter
Gibbs.

The only other major incident
of the weekend, according to the
University police, involved the
theft Sunday afternoon of a
motorcycle from the Copeley
Hill area.
