Directories Available

Student Directories are now
available in Newcomb Hall
Bookstore and are free to
students and faculty. Offices
must pick up their directories
at the Information Desk third
floor, Newcomb Hall.

Memorial Services

Classes at Hampton Institute
have been canceled today in
recognition of the two students
killed recently at Southern
University in Baton Rouge,
La., so that memorial services
may be held.

The Black Students
Organization at the College of
William and Mary held a
candlelight vigil in memory of
the slain students last night
outside the Campus Center.

Morin Named Dean

Bernard A. Morin has
recently been named assistant
dean of the University's
McIntire School of Commerce.

Mr. Morin has taught at the
Commerce School since 1965
and presently holds the rank of
associate professor of the
school. In his new position, Mr.
Morin will work primarily with
students in the admissions
process and in counseling.

A graduate of Holy Cross
College, Mr. Morin received his
Master of Business
Administration degree from
Harvard Business School and
his doctorate from Duke
University.

U.K. Scholarships

The Richmond branch of
the English-Speaking Union is
offering a scholarship of $1,000
to a Virginia student for study
in the United Kingdom during
the coming summer.

The University has been
asked to nominate one
third-year student for the
scholarship.

Materials concerning this
scholarship are posted outside
the office of the College Dean.
Students who wish to be
considered should consult the
materials, and give their name
to the Dean's secretary, Cabell
Hall 402, before Dec. 4.

UNICEF Card Sale

The League of Women
Voters will sell UNICEF
Christmas cards and gifts at the
Gordon Avenue Library
(basement) Nov. 30-Dec. 2,
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nursing Society

The Beta Kappa chapter of
Sigma Theta Tau, the national
honor society of nursing, was
formally initiated last week
at the University's School of
Nursing.

Eighty members were
inducted into the Chapter.
