Course Evaluations Available

Course Evaluation books for Fall 1972
are now available in Newcomb Hall
Bookstore for one dollar. Available for
use during preregistration, the book
contains reviews of courses in the College
of Arts and Sciences.

Restoration Ball

The Ninth Annual Restoration Ball,
sponsored by the Jefferson Society and
University Guide Service, will be held in
the Rotunda, Saturday, May 6, 9 p.m.-1
a.m.

The white-tie, black-tie optional, affair
will feature the Devron Orchestra.

Champagne and refreshments will be
served.

Student tickets are limited to 200
couples and will be on sale Wednesday
from 2-6 p.m. Guest and patron tickets
can be obtained either in the Rotunda
April 19 or at 3 West Lawn anytime after
then. Ticket prices are $12 a couple for
students, $17 for guests, and $35 for
patrons.

Leave Of Absence

University Law Prof. John M. Moore
has been appointed Counselor on
International Law for the U.S. State
Department.

Mr. Moore, director of the law
school's graduate program and expert
on the constitutional aspects of
executive-congressional relations, will
take a one-year leave of absence from the
University to assume the new position
July 1.

Book Contest

The Bibliographical Society of the
University is sponsoring a contest for
student book collectors.

The contest, open to all students, will
award two cash prizes for book
collections assembled by students. One
prize is to be given for a collection of
books of biographical interest or that
centers upon a central subject. The other
prize will be for an unusual student
library.

Entrants should submit a list of the
books in their collections with a brief
statement about their interest in book
collecting to either William H. Runge,
Alderman Library, or Irby B. Cauthen,
402 Cabell Hall, before May 1.

Medical Support Group

"Friends of the Quang Ngai Hospital,"
a medical support group composed of
University faculty and students, has been
established to aid victims of the
Indochina War.

The group will raise funds for the
Quang Ngai facility in South Vietnam.
The fund-raising is a project of the
American Friends Service Committee.

A meeting for all interested students
will be held Thursday, 4:30 p.m., in
Newcomb Hall, room 4-A.

Carpenter To Speak

Prof. James R. Carpenter of Kent
State University will speak on "The
Propylon In Greek and Hellenistic
Architecture" today at 8:15 p.m. in the
South Meeting Room, Newcomb Hall.
