Imps, Tilkas Chosen

Last Saturday night in the midst of reveries
both the Imp Society and Eli Banana inducted
new members to their organizations. The Imps,
a ring society, led by newly elected King Terry
Dan and court including Queen Gus Howelland
one-eyed Jacks Hal Bogard and Jay Conner,
inducted Bob Williamson, president of the
School of Engineering, and Dick Wagner,
president of the School of Architecture.

Mr. Dan is co-chairman of the counselors
for 1971-72 and is on the varsity baseball
team. Mr. Howell will be the other
co-chairman of the counselors and he received
the Pete Gray Memorial Scholarship award at
Founder's Day.

The Tilkas, a ribbon society whose purpose
is to recognize those persons who have made a
significant contribution to the University and
which does not have any other requirements,
accepted eleven men and the first women in its
society.

The new members are Jack K. Sperling, a
representative to the Student Council for the
College of Arts and Sciences; Gus Howell,
co-chairman of the counselors for 1971-72.
Terry Dan, the other co-chairman of the
counselors for next year: Tom Bagby, newly
elected president of the College of Arts and
Sciences: Bobby Prout, senior counselor and
co-captain of the lacrosse team: Tom Collier,
secretary of the Student Council and candidate
for the presidency of the Student Council.

Other members included Bob Williamson,
president of the Engineering School; Dick
Wagner, president of the Architecture School;
Kenneth Karb, vice-president of the Medical
School; Ronald Castille, vice-president of the
Law School; Ian Falconer, a graduate business
students and a coach of the soccer team; and
Patricia Cloonan, the first woman inducted and
president of the Nursing School.
