Law Professor Joins Agency

A University School of Law professor
has been appointed general counsel to the
U.S. Executive Office of
Telecommunications Policy.

Antonin Scalia, professor of law, is on
leave from his academic duties to fill the
post.

The Office of Telecommunications
Policy establishes the executive branch's
policies and programs relating to
communications, including such matters as
structure of the communications industry,
communications goals to be sought in
international negotiations and regulating new
technologies such as satellites.
